Our Story
At first glance if you were to walk into Zahra Foundation, you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s just a quirky gift shop with a vast variety of intriguing gifts.
Scratch beneath the surface and it doesn’t take long to realise there is much more to this gift shop than meets the eye.
Once everything is said and done, all of the profits generated from Zahra Foundation go to good causes to help improve the lives of those most in need. So effectively your gifts stretch a lot further than what you think!

Our Ethos
Sakina (the founder of Zahra Foundation) followed her passions and used her natural talents to specialise in personalising gifts. Through ingenuity and hard work, what started off as a small stall, grew into a fully-fledged gift shop, with an online presence. Despite the progress of Zahra Foundation, Sakina has never lost sight of her desire to create opportunities for people to flourish and make a real difference in the world we live in.
Our Projects
So far with your help, Zahra Foundation has built a school for poor and orphaned children in Ali Garth, India. The facility provides an opportunity for children to learn that cannot afford an education. Young girls are provided with the tools so they can learn skills such as sewing and tailoring, with the aim that they can earn a living in the future.
Zahra Foundation also supports the Bint-e-Fatima charity, which provides for poor and elderly women in Pakistan. Bint-e-Fatima was set up to protect and serve vulnerable women, who have no family and no financial support so that they can get the care they need.
Zahra Foundation has also been involved in projects closer to home, such as MacMillan Cancer, Marie Curie and other local fundraising initiatives run by different charitable organisations within Slough.
We always welcome the opportunity to get involved and collaborate with other organisations. If there is something we can help with, especially within Slough, please get in touch.
